Next Step

Foundation
Without a solid foundation, it can be harder to grow deeper in God. Matthew 7 speaks of building on ‘solid rock’. In verses 24 & 25, it states, “Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock. Though the rain comes in torrents and the floodwaters rise and the winds beat against that house, it won’t collapse because it is built on bedrock.” Next Step’s goal is to provide you with the resources necessary to have and to maintain a solid foundation in Christ.

Discipleship
Just as the disciples learned from Jesus, we, too, are disciples who are learning from our pastors and leaders. Next Step provides a means to be discipled, as well as becoming a part of ministry at Victory. Discipleship brings accountability to our lives, which will help us to grow and to have strong foundations in Christ.

Growth
Next Step challenges each student to continue to pursue God through prayer, reading the Word of God, and attending worship services. In Luke 13:6-9, Jesus speaks about a man’s fig tree that did not produce fruit. The man wanted to cut down the tree because it was not producing fruit. We need to grow … to produce fruit in our lives. Through this course, you will be challenged to allow God to move deeper in your life.

What's Next
After you’ve attended all four lessons of Next Step and completed the homework, you will receive a Certificate of Completion. Now, you can get involved in ministry at Victory! There are many ministries just waiting for you. You can apply to help in a ministry by filling out an application and being fingerprinted, which can all be done at the Welcome Center. Welcome Home!
